This position requires experience in requirements analysis, an understanding of solution design, product configuration, and the ability to collaborate across IT and business functions. Effective in delivering new technology products and improving/supporting existing systems, Systems Analyst Sr. provides significant technical, operational and process expertise to ensure a consistent technology user experience, scalable and optimized solution. Model and act according to Starbucks' guiding principles.
Summary of key responsibilities
- Responsibilities and key tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Product specification and design
- Converts customer experience into product solutions and technical requirements
- Interacts with internal stakeholders and third party delivery partners through daily collaboration and decision-making with a cross-functional team of consultants, architects, developers and testers.
- Facilitates the creation of user stories and backlog management in an agile delivery environment
Solution delivery
- Gathers, analyzes and documents business requirements to support the design and development of technology and/or process solutions
- Performs application configuration to support solutions delivery initiatives
- Participates in solution testing by developing test plans, building test environments, coordinating test execution and validating test results
- Create system and end-user documentation to support new system implementation, enhancement implementation and case management
- Trains and implements information transfer to team members as needed
- Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and implements them effectively
Production support
- Coordinate problem resolution with vendors and/or cross-functional teams. Provides timely and comprehensive problem status/resolution communication with end users and other key stakeholders.
- Update database and/or support articles based on new process detection
- Supports integration with various internal and external applications
- Define and monitor system health metrics
- Provides 2/7 support for critical systems
Coordination/Management
- Domestication; develops with minimal direction and provides guidance and support to consultants and less senior analysts
- Provides constructive input and perspective to team discussions.
- Facilitates/negotiates effectively in difficult situations
- Comfortable connecting at the organizational level with internal stakeholders, cross-functional technical colleagues and external business partners, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership.
- Understand technical nuances and system architecture
- Experience integrating multi-domain systems
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
