Obligations
- Effectively apply software development and testing knowledge and skills to solve multiple problems
- Collaborate with other engineers on the team to develop technology and continuously apply best practices
- Work closely with clients and cross-functional departments to communicate project status and proposals
- Document all parts of the system or application for future upgrades and maintenance
- Determine and assess user needs and then build software to meet those requirements
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during the design, testing, and maintenance processes using problem solving
- Work in an agile environment to deliver quality software
- Prepare and install solutions by defining and designing system specifications, standards and programming
- Mentor of junior team members
- Improve and expand your technical skills by continuing your education through reading, workshops, conferences and/or co-working spaces
- May perform other duties as directed by HR Managers
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Intermediate knowledge of software development methods, practices, concepts and technologies acquired through formal education and/or work experience
- Ability to demonstrate consistent application of knowledge, software development and testing skills to solve multiple problems
- Intermediate proficiency in at least one of the required programming languages
- Ability to collaborate, communicate and negotiate with various technology or partner teams
- Ability to analyze and manage large, complex, and ambiguous business or technical problems, articulate the problem or root cause, and translate analysis into actionable solution recommendations
- Ability to perform a variety of administrative or project-related tasks while maintaining excellence in all responsibilities
- The ability to direct others to do the same
- Ability to develop, present and effectively communicate ideas and strategies to diverse audiences
