what are you doing
- Provide effective supervision and guidance to assigned technical staff to achieve required quality and service goals. Maintain proper business records and inventory. Manage the smooth flow of work through the service center. ·
- Act as a process manager for store operations, ensuring operational standards are defined and systematically improved with the help of service technicians and the rest of the service center team.
- Lead, guide and develop a highly committed team of technicians.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager and other key stakeholders to set quality, speed and cost goals in line with customer and business needs.
- Ensure work standards and existing technical methods are up-to-date, accurate and all work is carried out in accordance with regulations to ensure the highest possible quality.
- Ensure that all employees comply with safety regulations and the service center safety program. ·
- Collaborate with staff to resolve technical and HR issues. Schedule employees to effectively respond to service needs and provide vacation and other free time according to company policy.
- You are responsible for selecting team members and completing the necessary training. Conduct regular one-on-one development meetings with team members to facilitate their professional development.
- Monitors team and individual training needs/requirements and coordinates training as needed in collaboration with training team resources. ·
- Provide effective daily communication so that all team members are working toward the same goals. Communicates with employees on all matters concerning the service center and service organization.
- Partner with the Service Manager to expand and grow the service production team to support company goals.
- Performs other tasks assigned by the service manager.
what you bring
- Educational Experience: Associates or B.S. degree or similar work experience
- Previous management experience in a service-oriented field is considered an advantage. Car knowledge is not necessary.
- Ability to meet deadlines and be responsible for quality/quantity.
- Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, set and achieve goals.
- Ability to lead group root cause problem solving activities and rapidly develop countermeasures
- Able to communicate effectively with clients when necessary
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- 1-3 years of experience in industrial management or similar management is considered an advantage.
- You can work flexibly, including overtime on weekdays and weekends.
- Good computer skills, essential experience in Microsoft Office.
