We are looking for a Content Designer who can use both writing and design thinking to transform the way Target interacts with its online store customers. You will collaborate with the UX team to deliver the best user interface and work with designers, product owners, business partners and developers, but you will also get support from the content design team to compare notes to writing. . , language and content live throughout the organization. You have the ability to not only create clear and engaging content for existing experiences, but also envision brand new experiences and proactively seek ways that content can bring joy and relief to our guests' lives.

Every day you can…
- Write content and create content recommendations for guests, synthesizing the tone and voice of Target, guests, business requirements and user experiences.
- Monitor the entire communication flow and proactively communicate with space partners to ensure consistency and continuity. Work closely with designers, product owners, researchers, accessibility consultants, data analysts, software engineers and other content creators.
- Support guest communication needs and priorities.
- Learn how to create fundamental user experiences under the guidance of the UX research team. Collaborate with researchers to identify key research needs and gaps to understand our guests' behaviors and desires.
- Get information about businesses and customer reviews to add content. Participate in critiques, workshops and skill development opportunities.
- Be part of a rapidly growing culture and team dedicated to inclusion, accessibility and authenticity for all Target guests.
Minimum requirements
- one year of higher education and/or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of professional writing experience
- A portfolio that shows your passion for the language and your commitment to UX principles
- Ability to present and defend the strategy and choices behind your work
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in ambiguous environments
- The ability to listen to feedback, defend decisions if necessary, but also change the approach if necessary
- Interest in exploring and learning more about the intersection of UX language and design
- Experience with design tools such as Figma is a plus
- Experience in electronic/digital business is a plus
