The selected candidate will be an industry expert with extensive experience in maintenance, occupational safety and data management and control. A background in material handling equipment systems/applications, packaging automation, distribution processes and storage systems is preferred. The candidate must be self-motivated, able to manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously, and be able to influence and develop relationships at all levels of the organization. The candidate must be able to supervise the maintenance coordination of the commissioning part of large and complex projects. In addition, this person must be able to provide technical management and supervision of a maintenance team of at least 80 people.

Main responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership, guidance and management to Site Specific Service Managers and Regional Service Managers across Amazon's North American Executive Network.
- Develop business plans for the maintenance department and provide leadership and direction for successful implementation of the plans.
- Develop and implement reliability plans that support extended plant uptime
- Station Maintenance Best Practices: Update, document, improve work methods, standardize, ensure a safe work environment and require safe work practices, train, implement equipment, collect, measure and analyze key performance indicators to improve processes and improve the Amazon customer experience.
- Provide guidance to management of maintenance and end of equipment (EOL) issues using ROI and other analytical techniques.
- Leads the development and execution of budget and capital planning. Help manage vendor support and hardware relationships and leverage Amazon's network size to maximize economies of scale.
- Provide monitoring, review and oversight of maintenance implementation, safe work practices and conduct and audit exercises across the network.
- Leverage the entire maintenance team for the benefit of the North American network.
- Develop and manage budget and contract documents, including quotes, other orders, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Provide oversight of fulfillment center operations to fulfillment center general managers. Recruit, interview and hire talent for Operations Manager and Service Area Manager.
- Help build a world-class care organization.
- Be willing and able to adapt to Amazon's needs.
BASIC STUDIES
- BS degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or BS/BA with
- years of support experience or 2 years of Amazon experience.
- Previous corporate and/or regional maintenance positions with at least 80 employees, including office staff.
- Experience leading change and maintenance teams in multiple site environments.
- 7 years of experience in managing employees and their performance.
