We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to provide tax technology and operational support to various global tax automation and enablement projects. This role is located in either Los Angeles or Los Gatos and reports to the IRS
Chief Transformation Officer. Responsibilities:
- This role is responsible for identifying, designing and building various technologies that enable the tax administrator to streamline tax processes.
- Develop a good understanding of various technologies, systems and tools to ensure successful completion and deployment of projects.
- Build and manage tax automation and system solutions using tools such as Google Apps, Script, Alteryx, Robotic Process Automation (eg UiPath, Automation Anywhere), Power BI/Tableau, etc. Assist users in tax systems with acceptance testing or generating data/reports from third party sources. - tax systems.
- Understand, create and maintain complex data analytics structures using tools like Tableau or Power BI to derive business intelligence from tax data by connecting disparate data sources and tables into a cohesive and informative story. Work with ERP systems, proprietary systems and large databases to create custom spreadsheets, schedules and/or reports for use in subsequent tax processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (tax, finance, legal, finance, treasury, accounting, etc.) and external counsel to identify, develop and implement technology solutions for the tax department.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a tax or financial engineer in industry or consulting.
- Education in computer science, computer science, accounting or related field.
- Prior experience with big data (e.g. Azure, SQL databases), data lakes/warehouses, and tax specific software and tools (e.g. OneSource, Vertex) is a plus. Knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.) is beneficial. Workday as an ERP system is not mandatory, but it is a plus.
- Self-starter who can juggle multiple projects with minimal supervision and produce quality work products in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
