Additional Information:
- This role is offered as a telecommuter, which may require travel for training, meetings, conferences, etc.
- Outside of mandatory visits, most of the working time can be spent in a remote location, away from our company campus. Please note that although this is a remote location, there are a limited number of states or regions where employees cannot regularly perform their work. These ineligible locations are: Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, Washington and Wyoming.
- US citizenship or current authorization is required to work in the US, and current or future work authorization is not available.
Obligations
- Plan and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of existing networks
- Install, configure and support network devices
- Acquire network equipment and manage subcontractors related to network installations
- Configure routing and switching to maximize network performance and security
- Recommend changes to improve network settings and determine hardware or software requirements associated with such changes
- Provide technical support to junior staff
- Provide technical guidance or support for system development or troubleshooting
- May perform other duties as directed by HR Managers
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Knowledge of hardware components, systems, software and network technologies
- Ability to lead/train others in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, solution development and implementation in specific technology areas
- You are good at partnership, negotiation and communication with business customers and technical support
- Ability to effectively prioritize and take on multiple simultaneous administrative or project-related tasks while maintaining a successful level of independent work and/or working with others throughout.
- Ability to develop, present and effectively communicate complex ideas and strategies in both technical and user-friendly language to diverse audiences
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based, customer service-oriented environment while respecting hospitality
- You can troubleshoot, analyze network traffic and issues, and resolve them
