The Industrial Powers Systems division currently has an opening for an Engineering Team Leader in Mossville, IL. This IPSD Large Product Quality Team (L5) position focuses on leading projects that address customer pain by solving product quality issues. In collaboration with our Service Engineering, Platform and Design Management teams, this person will lead cross-functional teams that address quality issues and drive manufacturing and service solutions and communicate project status to our resellers. Finally, this role leads the customer-facing business teams to define product support programs and publications that interact with the industry.
The position requires program management experience and provides significant product management leadership. You will manage project planning and delivery, continuously learn and keep up with new technology while training and mentoring your team members to expand your professional network. Using this knowledge, this position will influence new product introduction programs to assess the carryover risk of new proposed products.

Responsibilities/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Work with service engineering and customer service teams to solicit and gather customer feedback on product quality issues. Lead cross-functional teams that include L3-L5 design controls, product support and customer service team members using the continuous product improvement (CPI) DMAIC process to deliver manufacturing and service part solutions on time and on cost. Engage customers, vendors, suppliers, team members, and other business units to evaluate and communicate project results. Travel for up to 10 qualifications:
- We expect 5 years of experience in similar positions in design or production work
- Project management/management experience with strong ability to manage multiple projects and effectively lead teams through performance, speed and cost trade-off analyzes to enable us to make the best business decisions and solutions for our clients. Excellent communication, teamwork and collaboration skills
Strong communication skills and experience dealing with managers. Attention to detail and the bigger picture, and the ability to lead teams in making decisions related to important timeline milestones. Top candidates will also have:
- Experience working with quality systems
- CPI Master or Master Black Belt certification
- Engine design or development experience
- Experience in supplier relationship management
- Technical validation experience (DFMEA, DOE)
- Six Sigma Black Belt - DMAIC
- Experience with data analysis (Power Bi, Tableau, etc.)
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in an accredited field in engineering or data analysis
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration (MBA)
