Job Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for applying advanced data analytics tools and techniques to provide insights and actionable recommendations to the business.
- Uses sophisticated statistical modeling to predict future outcomes and multiple scenarios.
- Interprets and applies data in complex analyzes and explains results to business audiences to improve products and processes.
- May support or guide the development of commercial offers and/or other intellectual property (IP) related to the data.
- Performs statistical and mathematical analyzes that support business decision making.
- Develop and/or use algorithms and statistical forecasting models and determine analytical approaches and modeling techniques to evaluate scenarios and possible future outcomes.
- Applies analytical rigor and statistical methods to analyze large volumes of data using advanced statistical techniques such as predictive statistical models, customer profiling, segmentation analysis, research design and analysis, and data mining.
- Document projects, including business objectives, data collection and processing, leadership approaches, final algorithms, detailed results and analytical metrics.
- Develops material to explain project results. Effectively resolves problems and obstacles as they arise. Interacts with internal and external colleagues and/or managers to exchange semi-complex information related to assigned functions. Undergraduate degrees a bachelor's degree in statistics, informatics, mathematics or economics and at least 2 years of work experience in statistics OR a bachelor's degree in a quantitative, computer or technical field AND at least 2 years of work experience in statistics
Knowledge of SQL
- Experience in data science, advanced analytics or statistics to explore data, perform analysis, interpret data and present to business audiences.
- Knowledge of open source data science and statistical packages such as Python, R, Spark, etc.
- Experience building and maintaining key relationships with internal (peers, business partners and management) and external (business community, customers and suppliers) matrix organization. ensure service quality standards. Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify problems, trends or exceptions to improve results and find solutions.
- Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business (in-state and out-of-state).
