In this Cloud Engineer role, you will be part of a talented team responsible for building scalable, secure and highly available cloud services within a hybrid Platform as a Service (PaaS). At the same time, you will gain experience and learn about many other open source products as needed.

Your primary role will be to develop technical solutions to power the American Express Cloud Platform with a focus on building automation to deliver highly scalable cloud services.
Collaborate with the rest of the API design team, UI design team, quality design team, and product management to build scalable and high quality API and orchestration solutions.
- Research and implement the latest technologies and libraries that enable lean product development.
- Implement API/middleware solutions that integrate with NSQL, platforms and partner systems
- Adopt programming best practices that produce maintainable code, including usability models, code style consistency, integration, unit testing, and code review.
- Take pride in developing working software and are willing to learn new technologies
Minimum requirements
- Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Private Cloud)
- Experience developing REST APIs using Google GoLang and/or Java.
- Experience in cloud engineering, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Openshift, Docker, etc. An outstanding colleague. Good communication skills.
- Experience working with NSQL databases
- You know agile application development methods. General understanding of QE processes. Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
